Tigers Pathways and Hull College Form Partnership to Boost Employability Success

A new cross-sector partnership between Tigers Trust, a leading charity in community engagement, and Hull College, a key provider in further education, is enhancing employability pathways for adults across Hull and East Yorkshire.

The collaboration embeds accredited learning directly into the Tigers Pathways programme. This integrated approach ensures participants gain recognised qualifications alongside tailored employability support, strengthening their progression into sustained employment.

Tigers Pathways, a government-funded initiative, supports adults furthest from the labour market to move into employment, education or training. The programme takes a holistic approach, focusing on wellbeing, confidence building and personalised development - alongside practical job-search skills.

Amy Blinkhorn, Adult Engagement Manager at Tigers Trust, said the partnership is already delivering tangible outcomes: “This collaboration is adding real value to the programme. This week alone, learners achieved a Level 1 qualification in Mental Health, an important, transferable qualification that strengthens employability across a wide range of sectors.”

The strength of the partnership lies in its complementary expertise. Tigers Trust brings a person-centred, trauma-informed approach, underpinned by experience in mental health, wellbeing, coaching and mentoring. Hull College enhances this offer through high-quality, accredited provision, creating clear and structured progression routes for learners.

By aligning community engagement with further education, the partnership is breaking down barriers to learning and employment, enabling individuals to build confidence, gain qualifications, and move closer to sustainable careers.

Tigers Trust and Hull College will continue to develop this collaboration, with a shared ambition to create long-term, meaningful outcomes for adults across the region - demonstrating the impact that effective partnership working can have on transforming lives.
