Massimo Mauro has expressed his concerns about Juventus’ situation ahead of the upcoming season, with the club facing several important decisions before the new campaign begins.
Juventus are undergoing another period of change, with a new CEO and several officials arriving at the club. The future of many players remains uncertain, while Luciano Spalletti is still waiting to discover which striker will be available in his squad for the upcoming season.
The Bianconeri finished last season outside the top four and will compete in the Europa League this season, leaving them with plenty of areas to improve before the campaign gets underway.
Juventus Face Several Uncertainties
The players will soon return for pre-season training, but the squad is not currently in the condition it should be in. The club is focused on making changes in the coming weeks as they attempt to build a stronger team.
However, Juventus have still not completed a permanent deal for Randal Kolo Muani and have not confirmed whether Vlahovic will return to the club or has finally left.
The only apparent certainty is Spalletti’s position on the bench, which Mauro believes is not the situation expected at a club with Juventus’ ambitions. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mauro said:
“It worries everything. There are many unknowns, the only certainty is Spalletti. Luciano is a seasoned man, but he is always a man. Spalletti also took on the burden of exclusion from the Champions League. Unfortunately, next season you can’t make any more mistakes and this pressure will be a burden for the players. Carnevali, coach Massara, Chiellini and Spalletti will have to help the players in their daily lives.”
Pressure Builds Before New Campaign
Mauro believes the uncertainty surrounding the squad could create additional pressure for the players when the season begins. Juventus will need strong leadership from their officials and coaching staff as they attempt to overcome the challenges ahead.
The Bianconeri must now work quickly to resolve key issues and provide Spalletti with the squad he needs. The coming weeks will be important as the club continues preparing for a demanding new campaign.
