Round-up: Hull legal spat, Boro deal set to be revived, Rotherham trialist

Pogon Szczecin owner Alex Haditaghi has threatened legal action over an alleged Hull City approach to Okan Ozkan after counterpart Acun Ilicali claimed their director of scouting and recruitment was a free agent.

Ilicali claimed Ozkan had exercised his right to leave after not receiving his wages on time.

"Acun, it shocks and surprises me when successful public figures like you act with such reckless judgment and idiocy, placing themselves, their club, and their organisation in such a vulnerable legal position," Haditaghi wrote on X, formerly Twitter. "Your public statement is 100 per cent false, reckless, and defamatory toward Pogon Szczecin, our organisation, and the people involved.

"The claim that Mr Okan lawfully terminated his contract with Pogon Szczecin for 'just cause' due to alleged non-payment of salary is a complete lie and is categorically denied.

"We will pursue this matter firmly, fully, and without hesitation."

Ilicali then tweeted about "deluded opportunists, trying to threaten people to go to court and make money".

Meanwhile, Kyle Joseph’s proposed £5m move to Middlesbrough could be resurrected sooner than expected.
