Leeds United are set to welcome back multiple players from their respective loan spells this summer.
Of all the senior players Leeds loaned out last season, it’s hard to imagine any of them having a future at Elland Road.
So the 49ers will likely be tasked with finding buyers for the likes of Jack Harrison, Max Wober and Mateo Joseph, if they can.
Another one of these loanees is Largie Ramazani. But despite one club being interested in securing his services, the 49ers may have to look elsewhere for a potential suitor.
Valencia dragging their heels in potential deal for Largie Ramazani
Ramazani, 25, spent last season on loan in La Liga with Valencia.
After a slow start, the winger ended the season as an important player for Valencia. In total, he scored six goals and provided one assist in just 1250 minutes in La Liga. (Sofascore)
Since the conclusion of last season, various reports have emerged claiming that Valencia want to make Ramazani’s move permanent.
Valencia’s CEO, Ron Gourlay, even flew into Leeds to discuss a potential deal. However, the Spanish outfit’s stance has also been that they will not cave in to United’s financial demands.
According to the latest report from Spanish Daily Sport, Valencia are still pushing to sign Ramazani this summer as a winger is one of their main priorities.
However, their stance does not appear to have changed. They are still said to be waiting on Leeds to drop their demands before trying to secure the Belgian for a discounted rate towards the backend of the window.
For this reason, the 49ers should desperately be offering Ramazani to other clubs to garner more interest in the winger.
Hopefully, this would scare Valencia into putting their hand in their back pocket and forking out a fair price for Ramazani.
Leeds United must sell Largie Ramazani this summer
One way or another, Leeds must sell Ramazani this summer for a fair price. Whether it’s to Valencia, or someone else entirely.
I still think he would be a more valuable squad player than Dan James in the Premier League. But that’s a debate for a different day.
It is evident that Daniel Farke doesn’t completley rate Ramazani. Especially off the ball.
So there would be no point whatsoever in keeping him around. He’d never play.
But by no means should Leeds offload Ramazani on the cheap; he is a very talented player. We should definitely be aiming to get back as much of our initial £10million investment as possible.
If Valencia continues to play hardball, it’s on the 49ers to find an alternative buyer who’s willing to put up a respectable fee to get Ramazani out of West Yorkshire permanently.
