Newcastle United target Johan Manzambi has the same agent as Lewis Hall, Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento.
Newcastle United are growing increasingly confident in a £50million deal for Swiss international Johan Manzambi.
It is understood that progress has been made over the past 48 hours as Toon chiefs aim to secure their fourth summer signing. Ewan Jaouen, Bazoumana Toure and Sean Steur have all arrived to give Newcastle a youthful look ahead of pre-season training.
All three players are 20 or under and the Magpies could add another highly rated prospect to their ranks. Manzambi has been tearing up the World Cup with Switzerland and is a top Newcastle target.

Newcastle United confidence
As mentioned, the Magpies have held positive talks over a potential deal for the midfielder. Until now, Newcastle had been fearful of a potential hijack from another club - as was the case with Liverpool and Victor Munoz.
Toon chiefs have tried to keep their dealings under wraps and away from the media spotlight. Once the Manzambi interest became public knowledge, Newcastle questioned whether they were being used as a pawn for a rival offer.
However, talks in the past two days have proven to be positive and there is now confidence an agreement can be reached. Reports in Germany claimed Newcastle had struck a deal with Freiburg for the player but, to The Gazette’s understanding, this is yet to be confirmed.
Ace up Newcastle United’s sleeve
Newcastle fans will be glad to learn that Manzambi is represented by the same agency as Lewis Hall, Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento. This is understood to have given the Magpies an advantage in negotiations.
Freiburg value the 20-year-old at €60million - or £51million. Should the Magpies stump up the cash, Manzambi would become the club’s fifth most expensive player ever.
