Luis Henrique can leave Inter Milan this summer and Bournemouth are well placed to sign him.
The wing-back joined the Nerazzurri from Marseille in the summer of 2025. There was excitement about the move but he struggled to live up to expectations.
There were doubts about his future even in January. Premier League clubs, including Bournemouth, were keen, as Inter were looking to sign a replacement. SportWitness covered this, with Everton also in the picture at the time.
Due to Inter’s failure to sign a replacement, Luis Henrique stayed at the San Siro.
Now, the Italian champions are prepared to move on and Bournemouth remain in the mix.
Deal being evaluated
Cristian Chivu’s side have been working towards signing Anan Khalaili for the past few days. That deal is close to being completed, with the player’s confirming the situation.
This will leave Luis Henrique as a bit-part player at Inter. SportItalia report the 24-year-old could be on his way out and his exit is a hot topic again.
Bournemouth remain interested, carrying forward their interest from January.
A formal offer from the Cherries can arrive in the ‘coming weeks’. A deal is being evaluated, and their interest has been described as ‘concrete’.
In January, Bournemouth offered €30m, that is likely more than enough now.
Cherries can suit Luis Henrique
Luis Henrique
During his time at Marseille, the wing-back thrived on covering distance. At Inter, his inconsistent final ball has emerged as a weakness but his skillset suits the Premier League.
Bournemouth will also offer him European football, which is what the Brazilian has become accustomed to. He may not challenge for silverware at the Vitality Stadium but can rebuild his career and then potentially seek a bigger move elsewhere.
A deal won’t be expensive for Marco Rose’s side, who will benefit a lot from his versatility.
