Nottingham Forest have confirmed Oliver Glasner’s back-up team, with five new faces arriving at the City Ground.
The 51-year-old, who was announced as Vitor Pereira’s successor earlier this week, has brought assistant first team coaches Emanuel Pogatetz and Michael Angerschmid with him from Crystal Palace.
They will be joined by assistant coach Michael Berktold, transition coach James Holland and goalkeeping coach Michael Gspurning.
In a statement released on the club website the Reds confirmed: “Collectively, the appointments bring together a coaching team with a proven record of success at the highest levels of domestic and European football.

“Having worked alongside Glasner across Austria, Germany and England, they arrive at Nottingham Forest with an established understanding of his football philosophy, playing style and high-performance culture.”
Glasner said: "I'm delighted that these outstanding coaches have joined me at Nottingham Forest. We've shared many successful moments together and, just as importantly, we share the same values, work ethic and determination to build a culture where every player is challenged to reach their highest level. I'm confident they'll make a hugely positive impact on this football club."
Before Palace Angerschmid and Glasner were long-time teammates at the Austrian club SV Ried and worked together at LASK, VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt – with whom they won the Europa League.
Middlesbrough cult hero Pogatetz played under Glasner at LASK, where he also started his coaching career. He spent a couple of years at Austrian minnows St. Pölten, a brief time at Austria Wien before joining Glasner at Selhurst Park in 2024. He joins Glasner ‘subject to the successful completion of the relevant visa process’.
Berktold also worked with Glasner at LASK, VfL Wolfsburg and Palace, and the club says he has ‘played an important role in the physical preparation and performance of Glasner's teams’.
Former Australia international Holland also comes from Palace and specialises in player development, tactical preparation and individual performance.
Gspurning is a former Austria international goalkeeper and has previously served as goalkeeping coach at Union Berlin and with the Austria national team.
