Daizen Maeda makes Celtic transfer admission as he reiterates Premier League desire

The Japanese forward has made no secret of an ambititon to play in England throughout his time at Parkhead.

He continues to be linked with a move away and says he feels the timing is now right.

At a press conference unveiling his autobiography, the 28-year-old said: "I’ve always said that I want to play in the Premier League.

"In terms of timing (for a transfer), I think this is the right time.

Maeda, however, acknowledged the challenge posed by his age, saying: "But it’s difficult because I’m 28 years old, and when I talk to people, it’s kind of a ‘hmm’ feeling."

He remains open to offers.
