Calciomercato.com confirm that the arrival of the Spanish defender pushes Tomori closer to the exit door. The Englishman’s contract expires in 2027, and negotiations over a renewal have been stalled for several months.

Tomori, unlike in recent years, has opened the door to leaving Milan this transfer window and has already discussed the matter with his entourage. The Rossoneri hope to raise at least €15m from his sale, considering several inquiries have been received from the Premier League.

The most concrete one is from Frank Lampard’s Coventry City, who were recently promoted to the top flight of English football after a long absence. They have shown a very concrete interest in the former Chelsea player.

Tomori has asked for time to weigh the pros and cons of moving to Coventry and reuniting with Lampard, who showed a lot of faith in him at Stamford Bridge and before that at Derby County during a loan spell.
