Club president drops hint over future of Newcastle United and Aston Villa transfer target

The latest transfer talk from Newcastle United as the Magpies close on their third new signing of the summer transfer window.

A reported Newcastle United transfer target has been told it would ‘make no sense’ to deny he is not for sale during the summer transfer window.

The Magpies are working hard to add further new faces to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season after completing deals for France Under-21 goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen, Hoffenheim winger Bazoumana Toure and midfielder Sean Steur from Ajax. The 18-year-old has been the subject of interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months and has been closely monitored by a number of clubs across Europe - but the Magpies moved swiftly to complete a £23million deal.

Newcastle are believed to be hoping to sign a full-back, a goalkeeper and another winger during the final two months of the summer transfer window and all manner of weird and wonderful names have been linked with a move to St James Park. There were strong links with Real Betis and Morocco winger Abde Ezzalzouli after he scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists in 43 appearances for the La Liga outfit throughout a highly successful season last time out.

Several clubs have also been linked with a move for the former Barcelona winger over recent months as he continued to impress at club and international level - and Real Betis president Angel Haro has praised the 24-year-old for the progress he has made over the last year and hinted he could leave the club this summer despite expressing his desire to retain Ezzalzouli’s services.

He told Spanish outlet El Mundo Deportivo: "He is demonstrating an important maturity, he got to work from the first day and may be perhaps in the second week. We are very happy with Abde and we would like to stay with him, but saying that no player is non-transferable makes no sense.”
