Conor McGregor is already one of the wealthiest fighters in combat sports, but looks set to add to that when he takes on Max Holloway this evening.
The former two-division UFC champion will end a five-year hiatus on tonight when he takes on ex-rival Holloway - 13 years after their first encounter. On that night in Boston, McGregor would go on to get his hand raised on points.
McGregor would go on to win titles at featherweight and lightweight, but has been relatively inactive since his historic win over Eddie Alvarez back in 2016. The 37-year-old has not fought since breaking his leg in a first round defeat to Dustin Poirier back in 2021.
He was due to make his UFC comeback two years ago against former Bellator champion Michael Chandler, but was forced to pull out due to injury. But there is much buzz around the Dublin scrapper's return this time around. Every time he steps foot in the cage, he pockets a mammoth payday and is expected to do so again this evening. And so, Mirror Fighting takes a look at McGregor's staggering net worth...
Conor McGregor's net worth and career earnings
According to Celebrity Net Worth, McGregor has an estimated net worth of $200million (£149.3m). The 'Notorious' currently has two fights left on his current UFC deal - which meant that he had to renoegotiate his contract following the UFC's major move earlier this year. But he is expected to pocket a handsome fight purse for his clash with Holloway. It comes after the UFC ditched its PPV model after switching over to Paramount+ as part of a $7.7billion media rights deal - which began back in January.
Rather than being paid on their ability to sell PPVs, the two stars at UFC 329 will be paid a guaranteed flat fee. There's no doubt McGregor is a top drawer - with the Irishman featuring in eight of the top 10 highest-selling PPVs in the history of the sport.

According to reports, the 37-year-old earned roughly $33m (£24.6m) for his last fight against Poirier. Six months earlier, McGregor pocketed $22m (£16.4m) for his rematch with the American. The 'Notorious' has not won a fight since toppling Donald Cerrone in under 60 seconds six years ago. Official purses for the event from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) stated that the UFC icon made a $3m (£2.2m).
McGregor also earned a guaranteed $3m (£2.2m) for his defeat to Khabib Numragomedov - which remains the highest-selling PPV in the history of the promotion. For his stunning victory over Eddie Alvarez in 2016, it's rumoured he pocketed around $5m (£3.7m) - two million more than his fight purse for his rematch with Nate Diaz.
His most lucrative payday came back in 2017, when he ventured into the world of boxing to fight Floyd Mayweather. Despite suffering a late stoppage defeat, the 37-year-old brought in around $100m (£74.6m). In total, his UFC earnings are estimated at over $235m (£175.4m).
Endorsements
Throughout his career, the Irishman has endorsed more than 20 major brands. While a large chunk of his earnings comes from his exploits in the cage, McGregor has earned a fortune from various sponsorships, including: Monster Energy, Beats by Dre, Burger King, Reebok, DraftKings and Bud Light.
McGregor has also found great success in the world of business. The 37-year-old is no stranger when it comes to enjoying a cheeky pint, and has used a fraction of his wealth to acquire a few pubs in Dublin. In 2019, he spent $2.2m (£1.7m) on The Black Forge Inn, and it's been reported that he spent an extra £868,000 transforming it into a gastro pub. It's now widely regarded as a popular celebrity hotspot, attracting many big names.
His most popular product in the alcohol business is arguably his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey - which he launched in 2018. Three years later, the Dubliner - along with two other investors - sold their stakes in Proper 12 for $600m ($503m). Alongside that, he has launched Forged Stout in a bid to rival Guinness. It's proven to be a big hit, as it is often seen advertised in many major sporting showcase across the globe.
As well as launching a fitness app five years ago, the 37-year-old formed August-McGregor - which has been selling a wide range of suits and casualwear to people. It came after the UFC icon praised David August's work after he made the famous ‘F*** you’ suit the Irishman wore for a press conference with Mayweather ahead of their fight in 2017.
Despite his success in the UFC, McGregor is also a popular figure in the world of BKFC after it was announced two years ago that he would become a part-owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
McGregor's Manchester United dream
McGregor once hinted he wanted to buy Manchester United, and he expressed further interest after rumours of potential investors at Old Trafford began swirling last October. The 'Notorious' first made his ambition clear five years ago.
After Sir Jim Ratcliffe bought a minority stake from the Glazers, talks of a potential takeover had largely been put to one side. That said, Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh sent shockwaves across the sporting world after he took to social media and suggested United had reached an "advanced stage" of negotiations with new investors.
Many assumed he would be involved with this party or they would be from his own country, but hours later the official made it clear that they were not. The news came on the same day that United co-owner Ratcliffe gave an honest review reflecting on his few years at the club, which he and his company Ineos purchased a nearly 30 per cent stake in in 2023.
McGregor's proposition, though, was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. Five years ago, United's former executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward stepped down from his position amid drama surrounding the proposed Super League. This sent fans into a frenzy and pleas for the Glazer family to sell began.
McGregor took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to stir the pot and simply posted to his then 8.6 million followers: "Hey guys. I'm thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?" He followed this up by stating: "I am certainly interested in acquiring a sports team at some stage! Both Celtic and Man United are teams I like for sure. But I am open. I feel I could do big things for a club." At the time it was clear that the Irishman did not have the financial capabilities to purchase the club on his own.
