Manchester United's academy teams will take on TSV 1860 Munich and FC Nurnberg in pre-season friendlies next week. United have organised a visit to Adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach for their PDP squad.
The PDP squad includes players from the Under-17 to Under-21 age groups. Both friendlies will be played at the Adi-Dassler Stadium on Friday, July 17.
The young Reds will take on TSV 1860 Munich U17s in their first game, and the second clash on the day will be against FC Nurnberg's U19s.
United's first-year scholar intake, which was confirmed earlier in the week, will travel to Germany to play the friendlies. Jacey Carrick and Kai Rooney signed their scholarship deals and will be included in the travelling group.
Wayne Rooney's son made his debut at Old Trafford last season, coming on from the bench in an FA Youth Cup game against Derby. Michael Carrick's son did not make his Youth Cup debut, but will be involved as an Under-18 player next term.
United's first-team boss was pictured with his wife and son at his scholarship signing ceremony.
United's U21s will be managed by Adam Lawrence next season. Lawrence returned to the club in January to oversee the U21s on an interim basis for the remainder of the campaign after a reshuffle of coaching staff.
Lawrence began work at Carrington again on Monday, and a club announcement of his permanent appointment will be made imminently.
