Aston Villa have shown concrete interest in Sevilla’s Rubén Vargas and could make further advances in the coming weeks.
The winger managed three goals and six assists from 25 matches last season and has two goals and an assist for Switzerland at the World Cup.
He has caught the attention of a few Premier League sides, including Aston Villa.
Earlier this week, we relayed news that Unai Emery’s side have identified the 27-year-old as an alternative to West Ham United’s Crysencio Summerville.
On Friday, Sport Witness covered claims from Spain of Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion’s interest. West Ham are also keen, but his preference is to move to the Premier League.
