Cozier-Duberry urged to shine for Albion - by the manager who wants him back

The messages comes from the manager who worked with him last season and would love to have him back for the coming campaign.

Bolton are eying a second loan deal for the young winger after he played a starring role in their League One promotion campaign.

But it appears they and other suitors will have to be patient.

Cozier-Duberry was among the Albion players who reported back to Lancing for testing and training this week.

His services are sure to be in big demand if the Seagulls decide to let him go back out.

Bolton boss Steven Schumacher revealed he spoke to Cozier-Duberry recently.

Schumacher said: “His plan is to go back into Brighton and start pre-season with them, so I hope he goes and does really well.

“I just said to him, play with the same energy and enthusiasm that he did with us every single day, and try to impress the manager.

“He impressed us from day one, and I'm sure if he does that, he's infectious.

“I hope he gets an opportunity at Brighton. I'm sure he will play the pre-season games there.

“I don't know exactly what their World Cup personnel are, who is and isn’t there, but let's hope he gets an opportunity.

“All our loan players have done great for us last year, and I wouldn't rule any of it out.”

Albion are now two weeks away from their first friendly, against French second-tier outfit Annecy behind closed doors.
