Loum Tchaouna has become the latest player to leave Burnley following their relegation to the Championship by signing for Coventry City.

The 22-year-old joins the Premier League newcomers for an undisclosed fee, reported to be a package in the region of around £20m.

The winger has signed a five-year deal with Frank Lampard’s side, having spent just one season in the top flight with the Clarets.

“I’m so excited to start this new season in the Premier League, I’m feeling good and ready for the challenge,” Tchaouna said of his move.

“I was at Burnley last season in the Premier League, which was incredible. I’m going to bring my energy, determination, and leadership to the team. I’ve played in Ligue 1, Serie A and now I’m playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I have a lot of experience for my young age.

“I’m so excited to play at the Coventry Building Society Arena and I can’t wait for the new season."

The winger only made the move to Turf Moor last summer from Italian side Lazio for a £13m fee and largely struggled, scoring three goals in 33 appearances in league and cup.

Tchaouna becomes the third player to leave Burnley this summer, following in the footsteps of Quilindschy Hartman and Jaidon Anthony.

Hartman left to join Espanyol on a season-loan loan, albeit with an option to turn it permanent, while Anthony completed a £17m permanent move to Brentford.

Maxime Esteve and Lesley Ugochukwu are also expected to join RB Leipzig and Galatasaray respectively.

The likes of Jacob Bruun Larsen (FC Copenhagen), Luca Koleosho (Fiorentina and Paris FC) and Zian Flemming (Brentford) have also been linked with moves away.

Martin Dubravka and Vaclav Hladky departed the club at the end of their contracts at the end of June, while Axel Tuanzebe and Ashley Barnes are now both free agents.
