Nottingham Forest have become the latest club to be linked with interest in Fiorentina's full-back Dodo, with the Brazilian seemingly set to depart the Serie A club this summer.

New Reds boss Oliver Glasner will now be setting about building a refreshed squad ahead of the start of another Premier League season and according to FirenzeViola (as per Football Italia) Dodo has made it clear that he wants a fresh start elsewhere, with the search for a new club underway by his representatives.

However, the 27-year-old is under contract with Fiorentina until 2027, who are thought to be holding out for a transfer fee of around £12.8m (€15m).

Forest face competition for his signature from another Serie A side, Napoli, who have reportedly been long-standing admirers of the player. And Massimiliano Allegri could hold a trump card, with a possible swap deal involving Dutch winger Noah Lang, who spent last season on loan with Turkish giants Galatasaray.

However, the report claims that Forest have already 'made contact', although, along with Napoli, they are not the only club interested in Dodo.

FC Como have been named as the club most likely to come forward with a concrete offer, while Italian champions Inter have previously been linked, as were AS Roma, but there interest appears to have faded.

High competition should ensure that the player retains his expected transfer value, but it is only Forest who can offer the Brazilian Premier League football.

Dod has spent four seasons with the Viola, making 161 appearances in all competitions, with three goals.
