Leeds United have been credited with an interest in signing Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic this summer. The centre-back recently starred for Bosnia & Herzegovina at the World Cup as he helped his nation reach the last-32 of the competition.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an impressive tournament and is now being linked with a move to a new club during the summer transfer window.
Leeds are already being linked with a host of potential new signings as the summer transfer window rolls on, with Muharemovic emerging as a potential target for United.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Leeds have joined the race to sign the central defender from Sassuolo, but will face competition from some of their Premier League rivals.
The report claims that Sunderland and Bournemouth have also expressed an interest in signing Muharemovic, while Juventus could also have a role to play in a potential deal.
Muharemovic left Juventus in 2025 to complete a permanent move to Sassuolo, having spent the previous campaign on loan at the Serie A club.
It has also been reported that Juve have a 50% sell-on clause included in the deal that saw Muharemovic join Sassuolo, which is likely to affect the fee that the Italian club may demand for his signature. The CIES Football Observatory currently values Muharemovic at up to €39million (£33million).

Harry Wilson became United's first signing of the summer as he arrived on a free transfer following his departure from Fulham earlier this summer when his contract expired.
It now remains to be seen what plans Leeds have for the rest of the summer transfer window and whether or not they will look to bring in Muharemovic to strengthen their defence.
United have Joe Rodon, Jaka Bijol and Sebastian Bornauw as their current centre-back options, and it looks likely that Daniel Farke will want to bring in reinforcements for the position before the transfer window closes.
