Brandon Williams has been given another opportunity to get his career back on track, almost 12 months on from his disappointing spell at Hull City.
Williams is now on trial at League Two side Rotherham United, who have recently been taken over by former Tiger Alex Bruce, and will be given the chance to impress.
The former Manchester United academy starlet, who shot to prominence at Old Trafford before his career unravelled, culminating in him being handed a suspended jail sentence.
Williams joined City on trial last summer and was signed permanently, but struggled with form, confidence and injuries and ultimately didn't start a Championship game before being released in February. His only senior outing for the Tigers came in a five-minute cameo off the bench in the early-season defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
The 25-year-old has been with the Millers for the past couple of weeks and played in their first friendly of the summer against non-league Parkgate on Friday night.

Bruce says he'll continue to monitor the ex-City man and give him the chance to get a full pre-season under his belt before making a decision on what happens next.
"Brandon has a good pedigree. He's worked with the very best and played against the best. He was showing me a game between Manchester United v Liverpool at Anfield where he was playing. We know what he's capable of," the Millers boss told the Rotherham Advertiser.
"He's had a tough couple of years. He's not done a proper pre-season for two or three years now and he's had a few problems with injuries. It's a case of just seeing where he's at, getting a good pre-season into him and seeing where we go with it.
"He's going to continue training, we're going to have a good look at him. I think he's enjoyed it here so far. So we'll give him time, get the fitness levels into him and then, when both parties are happy, we'll try to make a decision."
