Juventus CEO Giovanni Carnevali has discussed Dusan Vlahovic and insisted that he has never spoken to the striker, suggesting the club has moved on from the situation following the expiry of his contract.
Previous CEO Damien Comolli had attempted to secure a new contract for the Serbian forward and held several meetings with his representatives in an effort to reach an agreement. However, the negotiations did not produce a breakthrough, allowing Vlahovic to run down his contract at the Allianz Stadium. He is now searching for a new club ahead of next season.
Carnevali addresses Vlahovic situation
Despite Vlahovic’s availability, no leading club has opened talks to sign him. The striker is also reported to be unwilling to move to Turkiye, where Besiktas have been monitoring his situation closely as they consider a potential move.
Vlahovic remains one of the top players in the Juventus squad, and the club has been eager to retain his services. However, Juventus have continued with their plans following his departure, with Carnevali confirming that he has not held any discussions with the striker since taking over his role, while also leaving open the possibility of future developments.
Juventus leave the door open
As reported by Gianluca di Marzio, Carnevali said:
“I have never had meetings with him. If opportunities arise, we will evaluate them.”
The comments indicate that Juventus are concentrating on their current plans while remaining prepared to assess any future opportunities should circumstances change. Although there has been no direct contact between Carnevali and Vlahovic, the chief executive did not completely dismiss the possibility of revisiting the situation.
Vlahovic could now be reconsidering his decision to leave Juventus after discovering that no leading club has moved to secure his signature. Should his circumstances remain unchanged, he may decide to accept Juventus’ proposal and return to the club, although any such outcome would depend on future discussions and an agreement being reached.
