Midfielder Berg started for Norway in their 2-1 defeat to England in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Miami last night.
He's impressed throughout the tournament, playing eight games - the last four of which were starts - and laying on two assists for a side who pulled off a huge upset by knocking Brazil out in the last 16.
The 28-year-old plays for perennial giant-killers Bodo Glimt in his homeland, and started in their Champions' League wins over Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan last season.
According to Team Talk, his displays have earned him a host of admirers, with Town said to be among a number of clubs - including fellow newly-promoted sides Coventry City and Hull, plus West Ham and Burnley - to be interested in a potential move.

Mark's verdict
After the impressive World Cup campaign Norway enjoyed, it's no surprise to see one of their star players being linked with a move to England.
And midfield is definitely an area that Town need to strengthen significantly this summer as they prepare to return to the Premier League.
As it stands, they have just Azor Matusiwa, Jack Taylor and Cameron Humphreys in their engine room - and, of that trio, only Matusiwa looks a realistic Premier League starter.
Like Matusiwa, Berg is more of a defensive midfielder - so could the duo play together in a more defensively-minded top tier Town line-up?
There's the usual reservations with these rumours where a player is being linked with a handful of clubs at the same time, but on the face of it, one can see why Town might be interested.
