Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick will give opportunities to several youngsters in pre-season friendlies across the next few weeks.

Manchester United's players reported for the first day of pre-season earlier this week. The squad enjoyed a break after a successful campaign, and they will now gear up for Michael Carrick's first pre-season in charge.
United are set to play Wrexham, Rosenborg, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Leeds and AC Milan ahead of the new season.
There will be more youngsters involved in pre-season than usual due to the World Cup. There are just four nations left in the tournament, but the United representatives who were knocked out will get the chance for a post-World Cup break.
With that in mind, we have highlighted five youngsters who are worth keeping an eye on this summer.
Shea Lacey
There are high hopes for Shea Lacey, who has long been considered one of the top talents in his age group around the country.
Lacey trained with the first team on a daily basis in the second half of last season, meaning he was viewed as a senior player, and staff believe he can contribute to the squad next term.
Lacey made his senior debut against Aston Villa in December and went on to make two positive appearances during Darren Fletcher's caretaker stint in charge. The youngster made his fourth senior appearance on the final day of the season against Brighton.
Carrick put an arm around Lacey on the touchline as he prepared to come on. We could see similar scenes next season.

Tyler Fletcher
Tyler Fletcher went under the radar for a while in the academy, with fans talking about his twin brother instead, but his progression was recognised when he was handed this season's Denzil Haroun Reserve Team Player of the Year award.
Fletcher made his debut against Tottenham in February. He was named in another nine Premier League matchday squads before getting another opportunity to play on the final day of the campaign.
The youngster received a late call-up to Scotland's squad for the World Cup, meaning he will be high on confidence when he reports for pre-season.

Jack Fletcher
Jack Fletcher is the twin brother of Tyler. He got the chance to take part in first-team training sessions almost immediately after joining from Manchester City's academy three years ago, so he's always been highly rated.
Ruben Amorim handed him three senior appearances on the bounce against Aston Villa, Newcastle and Wolves in December, but he was last involved in a first-team squad against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
The attacking midfielder will be hoping to impress Carrick, who knows his family well.
JJ Gabriel
JJ Gabriel scored 23 goals in 23 league appearances for United's U18s last season and fired the Reds to the FA Youth Cup final.
Gabriel picked up the U18 Player of the Season award ahead of seven other nominees, and the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year, which saw him presented with the accolade on the Old Trafford pitch.
United are doing all they can to show Gabriel there is a pathway to the first team. He wasn't old enough to play in the Premier League last season, but he is expected to receive the opportunity to make a senior debut very soon.

Harry Amass
The calls to keep Harry Amass and not send him on loan will be deafening if he performs well in pre-season. He was excellent for Sheffield Wednesday in the first half of last season, but was denied the chance to show what he could do with Norwich as he picked up an injury after signing in January.
Amass is back to full fitness and put in the work to get into peak condition before the start of pre-season. United need cover at left-back because Luke Shaw cannot play two games per week, and Amass could be a capable deputy.
