Aston Villa are looking to bolster Unai Emery's attack ahead of a return to the UEFA Champions League next season.
Speculation continues to grow over Morgan Rogers' future and reports claim Arsenal are ready to make a bid for the English attacker. Should the Villans sell the 23-year-old, they will desperately need a replacement.
Emery will want a squad that can compete domestically and in Europe, and that should mean his transfer chiefs chase experienced players. That includes players who have previously played their football in the Premier League.

According to CaughtOffside, Villa are interested in signing Ferran Torres and are rivalling Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli and Juventus for the Spaniard. It's claimed that Atleti are the club showing the strongest interest at this stage.
Barca have made Torres available for sale, and the Villans might make an offer to bring the 26-year-old to Villa Park. The La Liga giants are looking for around €35m (£30m) to part ways with the former Manchester City man.
Torres has been used as a squad player for the majority of his time with the Blaugrana. Last season, he started 23 of 33 league games, posting 16 goals as Hansi Flick's side won the Spanish title.
The signings of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi have cast significant doubt over Torres' future. He has a year left on his contract and it appears the Catalans are ready to cash in.
Villa are in the market for a new attacker ahead of a return to UEFA Champions League football. They may view Torres as a player with valuable experience and a profile that could suit Unai Emery's system.
The report claims that there has been no official communication to Torres about being sold. Internal discussions have been held and will likely conclude in his departure.
Torres is still focused on the World Cup at this stage, where he's playing a bit-part role for Spain. His club future will be sorted out once the tournament concludes.

Villa Could Pull Off Major Torres Coup

Signing Torres would be a major coup for Villa, especially if they manage to do so at the quoted price. He has proven himself as one of the most adaptable attacking talents in Europe, capable of playing on the wing and up front.
While he didn't spend long at City in England, he still experienced Premier League football and fared well. He scored 16 goals in 43 games for the Cityzens before joining Barca in January 2022.
