A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is primed for a return to starting duties on the international front this coming week.
This comes amid the understanding that Aurélien Tchouaméni is being readied for a place in France’s XI to face Spain.
Les Bleus are of course primed to lock horns with European rivals Spain this coming Tuesday, with a place in the finale of the World Cup on the line.
The aforementioned Aurélien Tchouaméni was for his part forced to sit out each of France’s last two fixtures en route to the final four, owing to an injury problem suffered in training.
Manu Koné was the man chosen to step in in place of the Real Madrid man, and went on to largely impress across appearances against Paraguay and Morocco.
As alluded to above, though, this will not prevent Tchouaméni from reclaiming his starting role against the Spanish.
As per a report from **[L’Équipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Actualites/Desire-doue-tient-la-corde-pour-debuter-la-demi-finale-de-coupe-du-monde-contre-l-espagne-aurelien-tchouameni-sur-le-retour/1703868?utm_source=Social%20media&utm_campaign=twitter&utm_content=photo&utm_medium=Social%20media)**:
‘Even though Manu Koné delivered a solid performance against Morocco, Tchouaméni’s status and importance to the team’s balance guarantee him a starting place.’
