Sergej Jakirovic admits the departure of sporting director Jared Dublin could have an impact on Hull City's transfer business as the club gears up for their Premier League campaign.
Dublin departed a week ago, and Okan Ozkan is expected to be confirmed as his successor in the next 24 to 48 hours, with City working on adding to Jakirovic's squad.
The Tigers have already identified their targets, with discussions well underway and more new arrivals expected soon, but Jakirovic admits the new incumbent will have his own ideas.
Jack Butland has already arrived, while Oscar Zambrano and Elliot Stroud are coming in. The club continue to work on bringing in a high-profile goalkeeper to challenge Butland for the number one jersey.

"There are some players we have already talked to, but the new moment has changed some things," he said in an interview with Germanijak in Croatia. "The new man has new ideas, his own contacts, and maybe he will bring in better players."
The Tigers boss has also reiterated his desire to see Rijeka attacker Toni Fruk and Hajduk Split midfielder Rokas Pukstas arrive at the MKM Stadium, as well as winger Marco Pasalic, who plays for Orlando City in the MLS, and represented Croatia at the World Cup, though he ruled out a move for former target Arbër Hoxha.
"For example, we put Toni Fruk and Rokas Pusktas on the list from HNL," Jakirovic continued. "Both times, we didn't get the Hoxha I wanted earlier. Marco Pasalic is also an option for me for the right wing. I like to say that these are players I have maximum confidence in, who will jump off a building on their heads if necessary.
"However, that doesn't mean that I would bring someone in just because we know each other and because we are compatriots. That's not even a coincidence. Basically, the club hierarchy is respected, and there should be a consensus in the club for every name. We'll see."
The Tigers boss also addressed the surprise departure of Dublin, who was sacked by Tigers owner Acun Ilicali a week ago, and is now set to be replaced by Ozkan.
"The owner made the decision, I won't go into the reasons and details," the Croatian added. "Okan Ozkan came, whom the owner knows from Fenerbahce, where he was Mario Branca's assistant for four years, and then worked in Poland. We are working quickly. We talked, I said what I need, which players and positions, and as a coach, I hope that he will bring me better players than the ones I am looking for."
