A winger linked with both Sheffield United and Middlesbrough appears set for a £9m switch
Sheffield United and Middlesbrough-linked winger Lewis Dobbin is reportedly nearing a move from Aston Villa to Southampton.
The 23-year-old joined Villa from Everton back in 2024 but has found first-team opportunities limited in the Midlands.
He spent last season on loan in the Championship with Preston North End, having previously been borrowed by West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City.

According to The Athletic’s Jacob Tanswell, Southampton have agreed a deal to sign Dobbin on a permanent basis for a fee of £9m plus add-ons.
The Saints are said to have moved into pole position despite the presence of rivals in the race and now look to be on the verge of pulling off a coup.
