Middlesbrough are set to turn their transfer attentions to midfielder Otto Rosengren as they look to bolster Kim Hellberg's squad for the new season.

Reports in Sweden claim Boro are keen on the 23-year-old, who currently plays for Malmo.

Boro are looking to replace Hayden Hackney following his departure to Everton, with boss Kim Hellberg said to be interested in Rosengren, according to Swedish outlet Expressen.

The one-time capped Sweden international is currently in action for Malmo, and he played the full 90 minutes of their 4-0 win over Gothenberg on Sunday.

However, scouts from Bundeliga outfit Cologne have also watched the midfielder, who has 18 months left on his current contract.

Dobbin interest

Former Middlesbrough target Lewis Dobbin is set to sign for Championship rivals Southampton after failing to break into the Aston Villa first-team.

Boro were linked with the winger earlier this summer, but opted not to follow up interest in the 23-year-old.

However, the Saints are set to splash £9m on Dobbin as they look to freshen their squad for another promotion push.

Bowen West Ham future

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen is set to stay at the East London club, according to his father-in-law Danny Dyer. The former England forward had been tipped to leave the London Stadium following their relegation to the Championship, but could yet stay with the Hammers.

Actor Dyer, who's daugher Dani is married Bowen, told talkSPORT: "He's a very great, loyal man. First and foremost, he is my family, the father of my grandchildren, of course. It's been tough for him.

"He does deserve Champions League football and whatever decision he makes, or made, I would have supported him.

"I don't think he's going anywhere, and I think he will rip up the Championship, don't you worry yourself about that."

Matondo lifeline

Sheffield United are interested in bringing Welsh international Rabbi Matondo back to the UK, just months after he joined Norwegian side SK Brann. The 25-year-old left Rangers earlier this year, but has struggled for gametime in Norway.

Reports suggest the Blades could offer him a transfer lifeline as he looks for regular first-team football. Matondo coast Schalke 04 £11m back in 2019, and has Championship experience with Stoke City.
