Former Blackpool midfielder Grant Ward is currently on trial with Northampton Town.
Ex-Blackpool promotion winner Grant Ward is looking to earn himself a contract in League Two.
Consistent minutes have been hard to come by for the midfielder throughout the last 12 months, having found himself without a club for the majority of that time.
On the back of leaving Bristol Rovers last summer, the 31-year-old had to wait until February to find his next home - penning a short-term deal with Port Vale.
During his time at Vale Park, he featured eight times for the relegated League One side in the second half of last season, before being released back in May.

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur youngster was a Seasiders player between 2019 and 2023 - albeit in two different stints after being re-signed by Michael Appleton having initially been released by Neil Critchley.
Under the latter, he was part of the Blackpool squad that won promotion to the Championship in 2021, and featured off the bench in the victory over Lincoln City in the play-off victory at Wembley.

In total, the ex-Ipswich Town made 58 appearances in total throughout his time in Tangerine, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
The next club on Ward’s CV could potentially be Northampton Town. The central midfielder is currently on trial at Sixfields and featured in a friendly against Leicester City at the weekend.
Discussing the current considerations around the ex-Seasiders man, Cobblers head coach Chris Hogg told the Chronicle and Echo: “There are discussions to be had. We had a couple of youth team boys involved to bolster our numbers and that highlights we still need players and we need to keep busy in the market and make sure we’re recruiting the right people.
"The two trialists have been training with us. Lennon (Wheeldon) has been with us for a while – there’s no point hiding it because people always find out. We’ll have discussions on the back of today and then give them a plan moving forward.”
