Aston Villa are targeting AC Milan left-back Pervis Estupinan as a replacement for Lucas Digne.

While it remains unclear what price point Villa are negotiating with Milan, Digne is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain once his release clause, understood to be worth less than £10 million, is activated.

Former Brighton full-back Estupinan, who turned 28 earlier this year, has spent just one season in Serie A and could now be set for a swift return to the Premier League.

The Ecuador international joined the Italian giants last summer in a deal worth an initial £17 million plus add-ons, signing a contract until 2030.

Estupinan started 13 Serie A matches last season and made 22 appearances across all competitions as Milan finished fifth in the league.

During his time at Brighton, the left-back made 104 appearances and registered 14 assists.

His move to Brighton came after an impressive spell at Villarreal, where he excelled under Villa boss Emery.

Estupinan also played alongside Pau Torres during his time The Yellow Submarine, forming a strong bond down the left side of defence.

Meanwhile, Villa are set to lose Youri Tielemans to Manchester United as the Red Devils prepare to pay his £35 million release clause.
