Jimenez's loan to Fiorentina confirmed by Serie A as investigation continues

While there has been no official announcement from either club, the league have appeared to confirm that the deal has gone through on the transfers part of its site.

As reported, Jimenez remains under investigation and suspended by the FA after social media posts were published involving the right back in May, meaning he missed the final three games of the season last term.

He heads to Italy on loan with an option to buy of €20million plus bonuses, and Bournemouth would take 30 per cent of any future sale fee, too.

The 21-year-old had cemented his place in the Cherries starting XI last season before his suspension, making 32 appearances in all competitions, with 26 starts in the Premier League.

His initial loan move from AC Milan was made permanent when the obligation to buy clause was triggered in February for a fee of €19m plus €5m in add-ons.

Jimenez returns to Serie A having played 26 times in the Italian top flight before his move to Bournemouth.
