A player Leeds United have been linked with looks to be on the move elsewhere this summer.
For what feels like an eternity at this stage, United have been linked with centre-back Danilho Doekhi on a free transfer.
The Dutchman recently left Bundesliga outfit Union Berlin and is available as a free agent.
But according to the latest reports, Doekhi looks as though he will not be heading to Leeds.

According to the latest reports courtesy of Fabrizio Romano, Lazio are closing in on securing Doekhi’s services as a free agent this summer.
The defender is said to be arriving in Italy for a medical before eventually putting pen to paper on a deal with the Serie A outfit.
Ultimately, for Leeds fans, this will come as no surprise.
Whilst we were frequently linked with Doekhi, it always appeared to be more of a ploy from his agent to generate interest in the player.
We have a number of players who can play as a right-sided centre-back. So a move for Doekhi never truly made sense.
The fact that Graham Smyth also never posted on socials about Doekhi, for example, speaks volumes.
In terms of United signing a centre-back, it would appear the 49ers have other plans.
Leeds United reportedly in for Tarik Muharemovic
Pascal Struijk’s move to Brighton has left a gaping hole at left-sided centre back in our squad.
It would appear to make way more sense for Leeds to recruit in that position instead.
Now it appears Leeds have found their man.
Romano has also reported that United are in for Tarik Muharemovic. The Bosnian, who is left-footed, currently plays for Serie A outfit Sassuolo.
A reported fee is not mentioned, but according to Transfermarkt, Muharemovic is valued at around £21.3million.
So even if we do not sign Muharemovic, it would suggest that the 49ers are willing to invest heavily in a left-sided centre back.
Without a doubt, this is the correct decision. As nice as it would’ve been to sign Doekhi on a free, signing a Struijk replacement is a far more pressing priority.
At least now we won’t have to hear any Doekhi rumours with little basis behind them for the foreseeable future.
