A round-up of the latest Premier League transfer rumours - with news from Aston Villa, Sunderland, Leeds, Coventry and more.
It’s once again time for 3 Added Minutes’ regular morning round-up and review of some of the biggest (and often wildest) Premier League transfer rumours which you might have missed over the past 24 hours – and we start today’s column off with a story involving Aston Villa, Sunderland and several other sides.

According to Sport Witness, who cites sources in the Spanish media, they’re among several Premier League sides who are “chasing” the signature of Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji, regarded as one of the most gifted young forwards in world football.

Leeds United, Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion are also listed as suitors for the 20-year-old Sweden international, whose progress towards the top of the game has slowed after getting stuck behind Lamine Yamal at the Camp Nou not long after an ACL injury in 2024.
Bardghji’s agent has been “working to find a new club” for his client but has yet to pick his next destination from among his potential options. Apparently Barcelona will sanction either a loan move or a permanent sale, so long as the latter incorporates a buyback clause.
The 3AM Verdict: Of the five English clubs mentioned, Leeds are the one we’ve seenmost closely connectedwith a bid, but it’s clear that while Bardghji will almost certainly leave Catalonia this summer, he hasn’t made his mind up yet. We suspect that there will be interest from other European sides as well, although there’s no mention of overseas suitors in this particular story.
Leeds ‘accelerate talks’ over £34m Serie A star

We’ll stay at Elland Road for our second story of the day, which comes from TEAMtalk – they reckon that Leeds are “stepping up their pursuit” of Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemović and are set to “accelerate talks” in the hopes of getting a deal over the line.
The 23-year-old Bosnia & Herzegovina international, who was a member of their World Cup squad, was of interest to Inter Milan but they appear to have cooled their interest, and it’s now suggested that Leeds are firmly “in the race.”
Sassuolo’s “asking price” is said to be €40m (£34m) and it’s suggested that there has been “positive progress” as discussions continue. That doesn’t mean that it’s a done deal, however, as both Sunderland, Newcastle United and Bournemouth are said to have “held talks” of their own with the player’s representatives.
The 3AM Verdict: This tallies with what we’ve been hearing for weeks now – that Leeds have very sincere interest in Muharemović, who was outstanding in Serie A last season, but there are quite a few other clubs who are keeping a watching brief. It’s too early, we believe, to be confident that Leeds are leading the race.
England star ‘tempted’ by Coventry move

We’ll round off today’s transfer rumour round-up with a story about newly-promoted Coventry City: According to Football Insider, the Sky Blues are “plotting a move” to bring AC Milan and England centre-back Fikayo Tomori to the CBS Arena, with Frank Lampard’s presence key to their chances of getting a deal over the line.
Tomori has worked under Lampard at both Chelsea and Derby County, and the pair are said to “enjoy a strong relationship” – as such, the 28-year-old is alleged to be “tempted” by the idea of rejoining his former boss in the midlands.
Milan are apparently “open” to the idea of letting Tomori leave after five years at the Sani Siro, but there’s no suggestion that talks have reached an advanced stage or that a transfer fee has been agreed. In fact, there’s no word on what the approximate asking price might even be.
The 3AM Verdict: Every transfer window, without fail, the English gossip columns link Tomori with a return to the Premier League. For once, however, there’s a chance that it actually happens, as Tomori and Milan have reached an impasse in negotiations over a new contract. If he doesn’t sign, he’ll be entering the last year of his deal and Milan will likely start listening to offers – but there’s still every chance that Tomori puts pen to paper and stays put for a while longer. He’s still a regular starter in Italy, after all.
