Nottingham Forest retain hope of bringing Sevilla’s Joaquín Oso to the Premier League as Fiorentina are yet to make concrete advances.

Three days ago, Sport Witness relayed news that the Serie A side would wrap up the signing over the weekend.

Nottingham Forest keen on permanent signing

Journalist Luca Bendoni took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that Oliver Glasner’s side are keen on signing the left-back permanently.

The Reds are in direct contact with the Andalusian club to ask about the transfer fee, and Bendoni makes no mention of a figure.

El Desmarque relays his report and then shares their own updates on what’s happening around the 23-year-old. His agent has been working on taking him away from Sevilla and isn’t short of options.

The Premier League side have re-emerged strongly while Fiorentina have been looking to make concrete advances.

Sources have informed the outlet that as of Monday afternoon, Sevilla are unaware of any offer from La Viola. The Andalusian club insists the claims about their offer are ‘more talk than reality’.

This not only encourages Nottingham Forest but also provides them an easy path to sign Joaquín Oso. In fact, the situation could change with their emergence.

Nottingham Forest’s plan to sign Oso

The City Ground club can take advantage of Fiorentina’s lack of a concrete push.

El Desmarque claim Nottingham Forest’s ‘intention is to finalise a transfer’ and they can do this by meeting Sevilla’s €15m price.

The Spaniard’s contract lasts until 2027 and he’s valued at €10m by Transfermarkt. The La Liga side haven’t been successful with attempts to renew his contract.

Therefore, Sevilla are looking to sell him this summer. The report doesn’t mention Oso’s stance on joining Oliver Glasner’s side.
