Everton target Brooke Norton-Cuffy

Brooke Norton-Cuffy has been linked with a move to England repeatedly and Everton are back in the mix for his signature.

The defender has come a long way in Italy, since joining from Arsenal in 2024. In two seasons, he’s played 43 times across all competitions, improving from a physical and technical perspective.

This led to Premier League sides being keen in January. Sport Witness covered how Everton were well-placed to sign the right-back, with West Ham also interested. Genoa were open to a sale but wanted €25m.

While Juventus were also interested, Genoa’s asking price was likely to be a major problem for the Old Lady.

Now, a move to England is gaining attention again.

Toffees interest returns

La Repubblica look at Genoa’s possible transfers, with the club’s pre-season training set to start soon. With the players back at the training ground, outgoings could become a priority.

Norton-Cuffy is a big candidate to depart. The newspaper report that Everton’s interest is ‘worth noting’, making it clear they’re back in the mix after trying to sign the right-back in January.

Genoa’s valuation is likely to have fallen since the winter transfer window. They could be happy with around €20m now, which is believed to be affordable for the Toffees or any other English club.

Corriere dello Sport – via NapoliMagazine, report that even Napoli are in the frame for the defender’s signature. They see him as an alternative to Dodo and there is confidence Genoa are very keen on Norton Cuffy’s sale. A deal would have to go through on their terms though, which should suit English sides.

Deal would be beneficial

Norton-Cuffy has become an up-and-down full-back, who can easily slot in as a wing-back. He has the ability to cover ground which will help if he moves to England.

He is only 22, which will be beneficial for Everton as he could lock down their right-back berth for the long term.

During his time at Arsenal, he had loans at Millwall, Coventry City and Rotherham. It’s been an interesting career path which could lead him to the banks of the river Mersey.
