Former Plymouth Argyle forward Nick Chadwick has been promoted to the role of Loans Programme Manager/Senior Professional Development Phase coach at Everton.

Chadwick returned to Everton, the club where he began his career as a player, in September 2025 when he was appointed Individual Player Development Lead Coach.

The 43-year-old has worked as a coach or assistant manager at several clubs since his second spell as a striker for Argyle came to an end in 2013.

Chadwick said on LinkedIn, the professional networking platform: "I’m delighted to be taking on the role of Loans Programme Manager/Senior Professional Development Phase Coach at Everton Football Club.

"Having joined the club as a young player in the Academy, progressing through to play in the First Team and now continuing my journey with the club, it’s a role of great value and one I’m incredibly proud of.

"Following my time as Individual Development Coach, I’m excited to continue coaching and supporting our young players in a new capacity, leading the Academy loans programme.

"Helping players transition into senior football is a responsibility I value greatly and I’m looking forward to working closely with our players, staff and loan clubs to provide the best possible opportunities."Privileged to be at this club and I’m thankful for everyone who have supported me so far on this incredible journey."

Chadwick first joined Argyle from Everton when they were in the Championship for a £250,000 transfer fee in February 2005, and later returned for a second spell when the Pilgrims were in League Two between 2011 and 2013.

Overall, he made a total of 86 starts and 51 substitute appearances for the Pilgrims and scored 18 goals, and in his second spell at Home Park also served as an under-16s academy coach.

Chadwick went on to work in a variety of coaching roles at Warrington Town, Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic, AFC Fylde, Rochdale and Wrexham.
