Aston Villa are pushing ahead in negotiations with AC Milan over the signing of Pervis Estupinan, and the asking price has been set.
Heading into the summer window, Estupinan was one of the names listed as a sale candidate after a poor first season at Milan. Having arrived from Brighton he was expected to be Theo Hernandez’s replacement, but ended up as Davide Bartesaghi’s back-up.

Villa push ahead
In the past couple of days, interest in the Ecuador international has begun to heat up. There was talk of interest from Spain – more specifically from newly-promoted Deportivo La Coruna – but Aston Villa seem to be the most keen.
Unai Emery knows him well from his time at Villarreal, so it would be a reunion. On Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto discussed the latest related to Estupinan’s situation and Villa’s pursuit. His words are via MilanNews.
“Aston Villa and Milan have had initial contact, so negotiations for Pervis Estupinian have officially begun. Milan value him at around €20m, while Aston Villa want to pay a little less,” he said.
“Estupinian would be a signing that would be very satisfying for Unai Emery, as he already coached him at Villareal, so keep an eye on this potential development.”
In the 2025-26 season, Estupinan played 19 times in Serie A, scoring one goal and registering one assist. That goal was a big one though: a winner in the derby to secure a league double over Inter.
