It has been a quiet start to the transfer window for Nottingham Forest as they begin a new era under Oliver Glasner.
The Austrian arrived at the Nigel Doughty Academy on Monday for day one in charge of the Reds. He met his players for the first time as they reported for pre-season duty ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
No new faces were among the group to undergo testing as Forest are yet to dip into the market this summer. Plenty of transfer rumours and reports have been doing the rounds, though…

Jones stance
Strengthening in midfield is top of the agenda for the Reds following the sale of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City. Plenty of names are said to be in the frame, with Liverpool’s Curtis Jones having emerged as a potential target.
However, new boss Andoni Iraola has said he hopes the 25-year-old will remain at Anfield. It comes amid a report from The Athletic stating Jones, who is wanted by Inter Milan, is not high on Forest’s wish list.
Iraola told the Liverpool Echo: "I will have the chance to speak with him today (Monday). I rate Curtis very highly. For me he is a great, great player and I hope he can continue with us and continue performing the way he has been performing.
"It’s very important that he’s Scouse, that he’s from here. I also like the personality. From the outside at least he looks like a player with good character and I hope we can keep him, not only for this year but for more time."
Full-back chase
It was recently reported Forest had asked about the availability of Sevilla left-back Joaquin Oso. The latest suggestions from Spain indicate the 23-year-old could soon be on the move.
According to El Desmarque, interest from the Reds “reappears strongly” as the player’s departure continues to be “worked on” by his agents. Fiorentina have also been credited with an interest in Oso but it seems they are in danger of losing out in the battle for his signature.
It is claimed Forest have been in contact with Sevilla and have also spoken to the defender himself to assess “if he is truly interested” in a potential switch to the Premier League. A permanent transfer for Oso would be preferable, with a €15 million (£12.7m) price tag having been placed on his head.
Oso has a year remaining on his contract so Sevilla are well aware this is their last chance to cash-in on him. The report states Fiorentina are yet to make an offer, despite previous suggestions they had hoped to wrap up a deal over the weekend.

Williams wanted
After a sterling campaign in the Garibaldi, talk about Neco Williams attracting admirers has been going on for some time. It is why the Reds are keen to tie the Welshman to a new deal.
Discussions about a new contract for Williams are said to be continuing. In the meantime, that hasn’t stopped speculation about other clubs eyeing him up.
TEAMtalk suggest Manchester United and Newcastle United have “expressed interest” in Forest’s Player of the Season. Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keeping tabs on him, too.
Rather boldly, the report claims a move to Old Trafford would “particularly appeal” to Williams - despite the fact he came up through the ranks at fierce rivals Liverpool. However, it is stated no formal approaches have been made and Forest have “made clear” they have no intention of selling.
