Jhon Lucumí’s future seems to be away from Bologna, with AC Milan the latest club to be linked with a potential move.
As Colombian source Infobae write, Lucumi is under contract with his current club until June 2027, but is considering a move during this current transfer window. His release clause is set at €28m and there are no signs of a renewal to give Bologna more leverage.

Bologna could therefore negotiate his exit in the coming weeks given that they risk losing him on a free transfer in a year. Juventus are the frontrunners at the moment, and several Premier League clubs are closely monitoring the situation.
However, the situation in Turin largely hinges on Tarik Muharemovic. According to reports in Italy, Juventus have practically finalised a deal with Sassuolo for the Bosnian defender, but the coaching staff believes he’s not yet ready to assume a leading role.
For this reason, Lucumí appears to be the ideal candidate thanks to his Serie A experience, his knowledge of the Italian league, and his ability to become a starter from day one.
Meanwhile, interest in Lucumí continues to grow. In recent hours, Milan and Nottingham Forest have also entered the running for the defender, adding to the list of clubs closely monitoring his contract situation with Bologna.
However, the destination that most appeals to the Colombian national team defender is England. Several European media outlets claim that the Premier League is the player’s priority and that numerous clubs are preparing moves to try and convince both the player and Bologna.
Sunderland have re-entered the race in recent hours as well. The English club already attempted to sign Lucumí in a previous transfer window with a substantial offer and are reportedly prepared to submit a new proposal.
Milan have already signed Mario Gila to strengthen the defence, but it is believed they are also looking for a player who can play down the middle of the three-man back line or on the left, which the left-footed Lucumi can.
