Lewis Hall reportedly ‘wants to move’ to Manchester United from Newcastle United this summer.
According to TeamTalk, the Red Devils are ‘firmly focused’ on facilitating a deal with Newcastle.
Why Newcastle are closed off to Lewis Hall sale
Doing so, however, is much easier said than done.
Having already missed out on some of their priority targets once again, while also preparing for the potential departure of captain and talisman Bruno Guimaraes, the last thing Newcastle will want to do is sell one of their best and most valuable prospects to United.

Anthony Gordon has bid farewell to the St. James’ Park faithful and completed a move to Barcelona, after which Sandro Tonali called time on his Newcastle tenure by opting to join Tottenham Hotspur.
Yet, if Hall himself is actively pushing for the switch to Old Trafford, Newcastle may feel pressured into granting his wishes.
Hall attracted to United project
The 21-year-old is enticed by the idea of working under Michael Carrick next term, as well as spending a year as Luke Shaw’s understudy before becoming United’s first-choice left-back.

Hall is said to have been left aggrieved at Eddie Howe’s handling of him throughout the second half of 2025/2026, which resulted in him missing out on a World Cup call-up to Thomas Tuchel’s England squad.
In addition, the Tyneside outfit also failed to secure any form of European football for the upcoming campaign, meaning the side is in for some quiet weeks in between Premier League fixtures.
