Joe Rodon on Harry Wilson’s leadership skills
Much has been made of the winger’s technical prowess, but his Leeds and Wales teammate Rodon has paid tribute to the 29-year-old’s maturity.
He told LUTV: “Knowing H for a number of years, I think he's kind of grown into that leadership role as well, especially with the national team, just kind of his maturity as well with the game.
“Everyone's seen him, he's grown massively as a player on the pitch. But off it, I think he has stepped into more of a leadership role.”
Wilson received his first senior Wales call-up at the age of 16 and has since won 69 caps for his country, scoring 17 goals.
28-year-old Rodon did not join Wilson in the senior set-up until 2018, but is just seven caps behind the wideman on 62.
Leeds United looking to push on
The pair look set to play crucial roles in Leeds’ 2026/27 Premier League campaign, in which the club will be looking to consolidate their position in the top flight.
Rodon, who was sitting down to be interviewed alongside Ethan Ampadu, said: “As players, we always want to strive for more and we don't want to get carried away.

“I think the goals and the challenges change again. Of course, last year was about staying up and being in the league this year, and now I think it's about pushing on and being established and see how far we can take that.
“When we both joined here, we all knew the project and what we signed up for, so I think it's one step at a time. But of course, this season we want to push on again and push further."
