Everything you need to know about Manchester City's interest in Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer:
City are keeping on eye on Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi after he excelled for Morocco at the World Cup.
The Blues signed Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116m this summer. But, they are still looking at their options in midfield.
They are not certain Rodri will stay at the club beyond next summer when his contract expires and there are also doubts around Nico Gonzalez, Mateo Kovacic and Tijjani Reijnders.
After such a good World Cup, Lille are understandably reluctant to let the teenager leave. It is reported they would want £85m to sell the midfielder this summer.
Lille would also want him to stay another year, were he to be sold, whereas City would want to put him straight into Enzo Maresca's squad.
His price tag also provides a problem due to the money already spent on Anderson.
City would either have to negotiate the price down or contemplate another big spend as they look to shape their midfield for the coming season.
The club are also in the market for a right-back and a wide forward and are set for a hectic final six weeks of the window.
In the meantime, Maresca will welcome some of the City players to pre-season on Monday. Read the full story here.
