Tottenham defender has been linked with a move to Serie A giants.

Spurs have announced the sale of highly-rated central defender Luka Vuskovic to Brighton and Hove Albion. The exodus is expected to continue, with the likes of Richarlison, Cristian Romero and Guglielmo Vicario linked with an exit.
Djed Spence is another player wanted by several clubs across Europe. The interest in the full-back is growing ahead of next season. The 25-year-old has silenced his naysayers with some strong displays for England at the World Cup. Everton have been showing an interest in the Spurs defender, looking to bring him to Merseyside to replace Seamus Coleman. However, the Toffees are set to face strong competition from Serie A for the player.
Inter Milan eye move for Djed Spence
According to Italian journalist Daniele Mari on X, Inter Milan are exploring a move for Djed Spence. Tottenham have a ‘very high’ valuation of the full-back, but that has not stopped Inter Milan from considering a swoop for him.
The Italian champions want to bring in a new wing-back this summer and have just seen a move for Union SG’s Anan Khalaili called off due to a failed medical. Now several options are under consideration at San Siro, with the club chiefs looking closely at who to concretely target. Atletico Madrid’s Nahuel Molina and Strasbourg’s Guela Doue are also on their list.
Spence is internally admired at Inter Milan. The England international would not be new to Italian football as he had a loan spell with Genoa in Serie A in 2024, where he made 16 appearances. Genoa were keen to keep him, but tight finances meant they were not able to sign the defender. At Tottenham, he has become an important player since the second half of the 2024/25 campaign. Overall, the full-back has made 85 appearances for the North London outfit.

The Kensington-born talent made 44 appearances for Tottenham last season and struggled at times to hold down a regular starting spot under Roberto De Zerbi, but his World Cup form, including vital cameos against Mexico and Norway in the knockout rounds, has raised his stock. Spence remains fully focused on bringing the World Cup to England for the first time in 60 years, so any transfer talk is unlikely to move quickly before the showpiece event ends.
That said, Tottenham will have a big decision to make on Spence if Inter table an offer after the World Cup.
