Lucas Perri in Leeds United warm-up gear in 25/26 season
The Brazilian moved to Elland Road from Lyon on a four-year deal for a reported £15.6million 12 months ago.
However, Perri lost his place in the starting line-up to Karl Darlow after a series of erratic performances.
He was linked with a move to Besiktas in the January transfer window, but a deal failed to materialise.
More recently, Serie A club Torino have been pushing to take Perri to Italy and end his unhappy spell in West Yorkshire.
But his move is still conditional upon one thing, with Leeds not yet ready to rubber-stamp his departure.
With Illan Meslier having also left Elland Road after his contract expired, it means Alex Cairns is the only other senior goalkeeper on the books as things stand.
Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported that Torino are continuing to push hard to sign Perri.
However, he adds that the "final obstacle" to clear is Leeds being able to source a replacement, due to the lack of senior options they have currently.
What else is happening at Leeds in the transfer window?
Leeds are being proactive in the transfer window this summer as they look to improve on a squad that finished 14th in the Premier League last season.
Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic is reportedly close to joining, with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international ready to travel for his medical.
Farke is still wanting several other additions, though, with Shea Charles a top target to improve his midfield.
Another centre-back other than Muharemovic is on the cards, while a left-back, attacking midfielder, and striker are all being eyed.
But, undoubtedly, sorting out their goalkeeping situation is a big priority.
James Trafford, who is second choice at Manchester City, is among Leeds' primary targets, while Zion Suzuki and Jacob Widell Zetterstrom have also been linked with a switch to Elland Road.
