Konstantinos Tzolakis
Konstantinos Tzolakis
Aston Villa, Leeds United, Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Coventry City are all keen on signing Olympiacos’ Konstantinos Tzolakis.
The Greek club initially signed the 23-year-old for their academy in 2018 and promoted him to their first team a year later. He only enjoyed regular minutes since the 2024/25 season.
Last season, he kept 23 clean sheets and conceded 35 goals from 49 matches. Tzolakis’ development has seen Aston Villa, Leeds United, Hull City, Brighton and Coventry City take notice.
5 PL sides interested in Konstantinos Tzolakis
The Greece international could move to England this summer and has several options to pick from.
That’s according to journalist Konstantinos Lianos, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a short update. He names Aston Villa, Leeds United, Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Coventry City as his suitors.
The latter two have secured promotion to the Premier League and join the three other clubs to battle for the stopper’s signature. Hull City are ahead of Brighton, Coventry City and others.
Aston Villa approach depending on Emi
Aston Villa will only consider a move for the Greek if Emiliano Martínez were to leave.
The Villans sporting director, Damián Vidagany, insists the Argentine will continue at Villa Park and Sport have relayed his comments.
“Martínez will stay with us; we have no intention of letting him leave this summer,” he said.
This should please Hull City, Leeds United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Coventry City.
Faced with the possibility of losing Konstantinos Tzolakis, Olympiacos have identified Wolverhampton Wanderers’ José Sá as his successor.
Condition to progress for summer move
The Greek’s contract expires in 2027 and his value, as per Transfermarkt, is €18m. His club want to offer him an extension and Konstantinos Lianos mentions this in another post on X.
Aston Villa, Leeds United, Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Coventry City will only make progress if there’s no renewal.
There’s no mention of the fee needed to convince the Greek club. Earlier this year, Sport Witness relayed news of Liverpool and Arsenal’s interest in the goalkeeper.
Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis had earlier set a €20m price. It’s unclear whether the price will now be lowered, especially if the player refuses to sign an extension.
