Newcastle United star Dan Burn has backed his old team-mate Anthony Gordon to shake up Argentina tonight in Atlanta.
The Scouse winger has bounced back from a frustrating start to the World Cup to make an impact with three assists in the tournament.
Gordon also has two assists in Atlanta fresh in his memory after turning the game against DR Congo on its head in the last 32 clash earlier this month, when creating a brace for Harry Kane. The £69.3m Barcelona star delivered again with an assist for Jude Bellingham in Miami during Saturday's quarter-final win.
Burn, who shared a dressing room with the winger for three years, said in the US: "I've played with Anthony a long, long time, and I think he always performs when there's more and more pressure on.

"I was really happy with how he did againsty Norway. Every time he got the ball, he was positive, and he got at the full-backs, so yeah, I'm delighted."
England and Argentina fans arrived in great numbers from across the United States, UK and South America last night. Local police in Atlanta were forced to move on huge groups of Argentina fans as the night wore on on a wet, rainy night in the city.
Burn and England go into the game knowing they are yet to hit their top level, the 6ft 7in defender said ahead of facing the 2022 World Cup winners. He admitted: "I don't think we've played at the top level we can yet, but I think we've shown that we can win lots of different ways.
"Lads coming into the team. I think you saw people were dead on their legs at the end there. But I'm delighted to go through. If we're going to want to win this thing, we're going to have to perform to the best of our ability."
Meanwhile, Burn sent an apology via a text after the quarter-final, after his big challenge on Leo Ostigard left the player in a heap. The Newcastle star then stepped over his ex-teammate twice while he lay on the ground.
Burn said: "I was in a bit of my own world to be honest. I’ve seen the video back and I used to play with Leo, the guy who I end up clattering with the header.
"I didn't really know what I'd done in the moment. I watched back and I thought, ‘Oh, it's not great,’ so I texted Leo after and just said, ‘Mate, I didn't mean to be disrespectful. I was just like fired up,’ and he was like, ‘Yeah, I get that, it’s no problem.
"When that ball's in the air, my like my eyes lit up a little bit and I just wanted to go for it and do my part for the team."
