New Nottingham Forest kit 'leaked' and provokes fierce debate

Nottingham Forest’s home kit for the upcoming season has apparently been “leaked”.

The Reds are currently preparing for the 2026/27 campaign under the stewardship of new head coach Oliver Glasner. Most of the players returned to the Nigel Doughty Academy for pre-season on Monday and have been hard at work since.

While Glasner’s squad are being put through their paces, it seems fans have been able to get a sneak peek at what could be Forest’s home shirt for the new term. The top appears to be for sale on the adidas website, although it has not been officially unveiled yet.

The description on the website reads: “Show your allegiance to The Reds with the Nottingham Forest 26/27 Home Jersey. Inspired by the team’s home kit and football heritage, whether you're cheering from the stands, playing in a match or enjoying a casual day out, it’s a must-have for fans.

“Cool. Dry. Ready. Climacool wicks and disperses sweat for a cool, dry and distraction-free performance, so you can focus on your technique. Quick-drying doubleknit fabric offers a comfortable feel, from kick-off to the final whistle, while the slim fit is flexible and moves with your body.

“Designed with a V-neck for a classic touch, the short sleeve jersey has an all-over printed graphic with collar and cuff piping details, making it a standout piece. An embroidered adidas logo and signature 3-Stripes add the final touches to the design. More than just a jersey, it's a symbol of optimism and unity, embodying the spirit of football legends in a classic format with a modern twist.”

Fans quickly spotted the shirt apparently being available to buy. And they took to social media to have their say on the design…

@LukeLNFFC: Wow another boring, effortless template kit from Adidas, who’d have thought? Sure we’ll get some more overpriced trefoil merch to make up for it #NFFC

@joel_francis363: that new shirt is decentttt #nffc

@gemilouisexo: New home shirt £85 on Adidas website. I quite like it #nffc

@bertnffc: The long sleeve kit is very decent! #nffc

@AMshirts2025: Oooops I did it again… #NFFC Longsleeve, sponsorless, everything I love about a shirt #YouReds Not as good as last years but still nice. No one will notice the oil stains when I spill pizza with this design either

@NffcSummary: My least favourite of the last 3 years home kits. Last season was homage to the 1992 kit. Season before had the 2 star detail in the pattern. On the plus side, its a camouflage pattern to allow the players to go missing more often #NFFC
