The Whites are being linked with the Greece international as Daniel Farke assesses his options in between the sticks.

Illan Meslier has joined Arsenal, while Manchester United have announced the signing of Karl Darlow as a free agent, leaving the German manager with a dearth of options in LS11.

Lucas Perri is also being linked with an exit from Elland Road, but that's not what Tzolakis's move to Leeds depends on.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was signed to be number one last summer but lost Farke's faith midway through the season.

It's clear that the West Yorkshire outfit need to bolster their goalkeeping department, but it remains to be seen whether they'll make a move for the Olympiacos shot-stopper.

When Leeds United move for Konstantinos Tzolakis will progress

Tzolakis made his way through the youth ranks at Olympiacos before cementing his place as the number one in the 2024-25 campaign.

As things stand, the Whites will have to compete with the likes of Hull City, Aston Villa and Coventry City to sign the goalkeeper.

According to Konstantinos Lianos, who appears on Sky Sports and BBC Sport, a deal for Tzolakis will only progress if he doesn't sign a new deal at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.

The 23-year-old's current contract expires in June 2027, which is an important factor in any potential transfer.

While many might have believed Perri's future may determine an approach from Elland Road for Tzolakis, that isn't the case.

The Japan international finds himself at the centre of an auction as the Serie A club valued him at around £29.8million.

There were plenty of rumours surrounding James Trafford being a target for Leeds earlier in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether he's still an option for them.

No matter how things progress, it's clear that the West Yorkshire outfit will sign a new goalkeeper, with Farke desperate for a new number one.

Darlow pipped Perri in the pecking order last season, but the Whites were unable to convince him to extend his contract in LS11.
