Freddie Lane becomes the latest promising Leeds United youngster to pen professional terms.
Leeds United Under-21s full-back Freddie Lane has signed his first professional contract with the club six months after returning from a long-term injury.
Lane missed the first-half of the 2025/26 season due to injury, returning to play 45 minutes for Scott Gardner’s side in a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City in January. That was the first of 10 Premier League 2 appearances, with the defender’s one goal for the campaign coming in a 2-2 draw at Chelsea the following month.
Leeds confirmed on Wednesday that Lane had signed a one-year contract, his first professional deal, to keep him at Thorp Arch until 2027. He joins a raft of academy teammates in committing his immediate future to the Whites.
