Aston Villa Women have signed England international goalkeeper Emily Ramsey on a free transfer from Everton.
Ramsey began her senior career with Liverpool and spent five years at Manchester United, including loan spells at Sheffield United, West Ham, Birmingham City, and Everton, before a permanent move to the latter.
Ramsey has played for England across the development teams, was part of the squad that finished third at the 2018 U20 World Cup, and earned her first senior call-up in 2023.
Ramsey told avfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited to be here and looking forward to getting started.
“It felt like the right time for a new challenge. I’m excited to play at Villa Park on the right side of the team, get to know the players and see what we can achieve together this season.”
Marisa Ewers, Director of Women’s Football, said: “Emily is a goalkeeper with strong experience in the WSL and a real desire to continue developing her game.
“She has arrived at Villa eager to challenge herself and contribute to the group. We’re pleased to welcome her to the club.”
