Of course, Perri and Alex Cairns are Leeds’ only current senior goalkeepers. Losing Perri would leave Cairns as our only option alongside youngsters Rory Mahady, Darryl Ombang and others.

What these reports about Perri’s exit strongly indicate is that Leeds are going to accelerate the hunt for a new goalkeeper.
Perri is clearly ready to leave, and the club are ready to let him go out on loan. Now, we need to ensure that we’re covered before rubber-stamping that exit, which means signing someone first.
Whether it’s Manchester City’s James Trafford, the constantly-linked Zion Suzuki, or someone else remains to be seen. However, given the speed at which Muharemovic talks progressed, it wouldn’t be a shock if the same happened between the sticks.
Last summer, Perri had a disrupted pre-season and struggled to get to grips with the demands of being a Premier League ‘keeper. The 49ers and Farke will not want a repeat of a big signing unable settle. So, I’m anticipating that the club pull their fingers out soon with a key target.
