Manchester United will make a move for Crysencio Summerville if Marcus Rashford leaves, according to The Guardian. The Netherlands international could be available for as little as £30million following West Ham United's relegation from the Premier League.r

The 24-year-old is said to be viewed as the ideal profile to replace the Englishman, who has spent the last 18 months away from Old Trafford on loan. The Hammers are reportedly attentive to offers for the former Leeds United man should they receive a suitable offer.

Rashford is set to return to Carrington upon the conclusion of his summer break after the World Cup with the academy graduate expected to join up with Michael Carrick's side.

The attacker's future looked precarious in Greater Manchester after his fallout with Ruben Amorim which led to a short-term loan with Aston Villa before helping Barcelona win La Liga during his season-long stint in Catalonia.

Hansi Flick's side opted against triggering the buyout clause in the 28-year-old's deal. It means that, as it stands, Rashford will be reintegrated into the United squad but the club's preference is to offload the attacker.

The forward, who is on international duty with England as part of their World Cup aspirations, has two years remaining on his current deal. But it has been suggested that his reported £17.5million-a-year contract is a sticking point for prospective clubs.

Summerville had an impressive World Cup campaign with Oranje before their shock exit in the round of 32, at the hands of Morocco. The 24-year-old scored twice and provided two assists in four matches at this summer's tournament but failed to convert his spot-kick during the penalty shootout with the African nation.

He mustered just five goals and two assists in a poor season in East London that saw the Hammers succumb to their first season in the second tier of English football in 14 years.

Mateus Fernandes has already left via the London Stadium exit door as United saw their efforts to sign the 21-year-old in vain as Tottenham Hotspur splashed out on the Portuguese midfielder.

Carrick's side hit back with moves to sign Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans as the engine room was bolstered with Premier League experience.

United will find out when they will have Rashford back with England taking on Argentina in the World Cup semi-final on Tuesday (tonight).

Should Thomas Tuchel's side win, they will be in the final against Spain on July 19 at the MetLife Stadium. But if Lionel Messi can inspire another historic Argentina win over the Three Lions, England will face France in the third-place playoff on July 18.
